      Hi,
I’ve got some manufacturing orders that have somehow been closed before their time.
I’ve tried to use the edit mo status window, but they are not coming up as able to be changed.
Is it possible to re-open a closed mo?

To theĀ ?best of my knowledge I don’t believe that you can re-open a closed MO, you may have to run an inventory reconciliation on the items that have been affected by the closing process.

      Teresa,

If the closed MO’s are accurate (for the activity to date), I would not try to reopen them.Ā  I would start new MO’s to complete recording the activity remaining.

If the closed MO’s are corrupt (and causing problems) and I cannot do inventory adjustments and/or journal entries to fix it, I would enlist my MS partner to dive into the SQL tables and fix it.

      Good luck.

      Chris

I don’t believe you can re-open a closed MO. Like others have said, you can do adjustments and reconciliations to un-do any GL and inventory actions and then create new MOs if needed. Do you still need to report labor and/or inventory against the MO and that’s the reason for re-opening?
