Hi,

I need some assistance with finding out where the Class ID set-up is related to the security role for an AP Clerk role.  This relates setting up the Class ID for a new vendor in AP.

Hi Denise,

Referencing default GP Tasks – it’s the ADMIN_PURCH_002*. Based on GP2016 default Roles, it’s only assigned to the ACCOUNTING MANAGER*.

At any rate, this Task grants access to the following:

If there are no issues, then you can assign this to a new role and assign it to the user.

If there’s a need to tweak this, then create a duplicate of this Task (using the Copy function), then edit it before assigning it to the role.

Of course, there’s also an option to just create a new Task from scratch.
