I am attempting to upload budget information into GP from Excel.Ā It appears to be successful, with nothing on the exception report, but nothing imports.Ā When I attempt to open the budget using Excel, I receive the notice below.Ā Any ideas on what is going on here?Ā We are on GP18.Ā Thanks, Tracy

It looks like GP can’t read the Excel file because it may be corrupt.
Try closing GP and Excel – you may even want to reboot your computer
Upload the budget – it MUST be in the format that GP expects (I’m attaching a sample of the exact format).Ā Don’t add anything or change anything in the format at all.Ā The only thing you can do is add rows of data in the Account Range.
All of the GL Accounts must exist in your database.
Try these things and then let us know if you are still having issues.

thank you Jo!Ā That was very helpful.Ā FYI for others out there, another issue we experienced was due to our Excel version.Ā We are on Office Professional Plus 2016 and had to have staff with an earlier version of Excel upload the budget once we had the correct format.
Thanks again Jo!
