Greetings, I’m trying to recreate labels using BarTender with GP fields but am spinning my wheels.Ā I’m sure the changes are simple, but our version is outdated and I can’t get much support.Ā We’re on BarTender v10 and GP2013 R2.Ā
If anyone out there has experience, I’d like to bounce a few question off you.Ā Ā
Don’t have time to play the John Lennon song “just sitting here watching the wheels go round⦔ so we dumped Bar Tender and the corresponding label maker.Ā I believe the tipping point was the cost for a software upgrade, which really got my wheels turning, because I already didn’t like the product AND they wanted more money.
Ā
I worked with I.T. and can load/print “Free 3 of 9” bar codes via excel.Ā So Purchasing prints Avery labels via the old-school printer.Ā We filter/report from SmartList; export to excel; convert to bar code.
Ā
So now I sing “I can see clearly now the rain has gone⦔ even though it’s raining (cats/dogs) here in the Pacific NW ā this is CLEARLY a better option.
I was tasked with creating some complex labels for customers and went down the road of purchasing BarTender 2016 R8.Ā I had it working with GP 2013 and now GP 2018.Ā Each customer has completely different requirements from QR code and specific data to 3×9 to anything else.Ā I’m currently creating labels on 4×2 to 4×6.Ā I’m far from an expert but seem to muddle may way through this.Ā I’ve attached a sample of one of the GP connected labels printing out of Print Station in the factory.Ā Do you have a specific question?
