Is anyone using a simple/low-cost solution to provide some enhancements to the existing GP bank rec process?

Particularly, we’re looking for 2 things.

      – Speed up the time that it takes to open the reconcile bank statement window

      – Ability to search the reconcile bank statement window (let’s say a particular check number) in order to more quickly find transactions & manually reconcile when needed

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.
      Thank you,
      Kyle

Maybe could create a search screen like he did for PM, RM and SOP?

      Pretty please?

      Hi ,

      Thanks for the shout out!Ā

Unfortunately, I am going to take a guess that reproducing the Select Bank Transactions window would require a fair amount of work, as there is probably a moderate amount of complexity going on behind that window.Ā  (temp tables, status field updates, etc.)

I suspect that the typical answer would be to use one of the third party GP bank rec modules, but I’m assuming that violates the “low cost” portion (and probably also the “simple” portion) of the OP.

If there is demand for such a solution, and if there are a few people willing to help out with reverse engineering the window, and if there are a few customers willing to help finance the development (at cost), I’d be open to having my developer work on it.

      Steve

If you are looking for a way to speed up and improve GP Bank Rec – you need to look at Easy eBank rec.
GPC Systems, Inc. has a solution called Easy e-Bank Rec – bank reconciliation for Microsoft Dynamics GP.Ā  Eliminate tedious work, save time with automation, have clarity – and make month-end less stressful.
