      Hi all.Ā  We are on GP2016 and recently setup the feature to automatically create bank deposits from cash receipts.Ā  The feature is not working for us.Ā  After we post the cash receipts, this error pops up.Ā  We hit OK and when we go go bank deposits, we have to create the bank deposit just as we did before.Ā  Any suggestions?

      Can you please check if Method 2 or 3 of the article below applies to your situation ?

      Thank you Gerald – this fix seems to be related to the cash receipts creating individual bank deposits whereas ours is not creating any bank deposits at all.Ā  I don’t believe that we have Multicurrency Management enabled, so I will check to see if that is causing the issue.Ā  Thanks for the suggestion.Ā 

      NOTE: InĀ Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 RTMĀ (16.00.0404), this same company option will now post cash receipts in the same ‘batch’ as aĀ ‘lump sum depositĀ in Bank Reconciliation.

      (Note: However, cash receipts may still post asĀ singleĀ desposits if 1) Multicurrency Management is not enabled.Ā  You must turn onĀ Multi-currency Managment.Ā  This will not be changed.Ā  Or 2) if you haveĀ Project AccountingĀ installed.Ā You would need to set security to the non-PA window forĀ Cash Receipts EntryĀ andĀ Receivables Batch entryĀ windows as the work-around.Ā  Ā This will be considered for a future update.Ā Ā

      Hi

      Do each of you have securities to do the deposits in Financial or to Post Through on those transactions??

      The other aspect is that, even though you are not using Multi-currency you MUST turn it on for this functionality to work.

      Thank you for the suggestions.Ā  Everyone does have the security necessary.Ā  I believe that MultiCurrency is likely the culprit.Ā  I doubt that we have this turned on.Ā  I need to check this out when everyone is logged out and then confirm with my partner that turning this on won’t cause any issues with anything else that we are doing.
