      Hello!
Looking for some guidance from the community…

We’re looking for a solution to automatically post G/L batches in GP.

      Overview
      – We auto integrate G/L batches into GP that originate in other systems
      – We’d like these batches to blindly post in the company in GP once they get there or at least on some sort of schedule

      Requirements
      – The posting process cannot rely on a logged into GP user because we reboot our servers on a routine basis.Ā  Therefore, I think the solution would have to run off of some sort of background service

      Thoughts/suggestions?
      Thanks all,
      Kyle

      Hi

I’ve worked with Post Master at a couple of clients, it is highly configurable and my clients have liked it.Ā  It emails if it fails, keeps log files, etc.

      Hi Kyle,

I second Jo’s comment and specifically recommend “Post Master Enterprise”. The Enterprise product runs on a service where the non-Enterprise one requires GP to be running, which you’ve stated below won’t work in your situation.

A former client of mine uses this in multiple large nightly integrations to manage automatic posting of integrated data and it worked like a charm.

      Requirements
      – The posting process cannot rely on a logged into GP user because we reboot our servers on a routine basis. Therefore, I think the solution would have to run off of some sort of background service

We use SmartPost, from eOne.Ā  We use it to post our Sales batches that come from an automated process at 4:00am.Ā  We also use it to post intercompany batches in the destination companies since GP does not give you that option.Ā  It’s a great tool, easy to install and implement and inexpensive!
