Analytical Accounting

    Good morning,

We have Analytical Accounting and have good uses for it such as projects amongst a few. At this time we are not using it because of bugs I am certain can be worked out. I am hoping this post can point me to the direction of others using this who may be of assistance.

As an example, we are trying to us this to do project reports. Sounds simple enough, however, when an invoice posts that has multiple project numbers referenced, the entire invoice posts to all of the listed projects instead of the appropriate amount per project rendering the reports useless.

This is one of a few applications we would like to use this for instead of a myriad of spreadsheets.

We believe this could be a powerful tool if we can get it going well.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

    Assistant Director of Accounting

    Hi Wendy,

Analytical accounting may not be what you need, there is not enough information to determine that in your post.

Another easy way is to use MDA or Multi-Dimensional Accounting – you already own it, or you may actually need the project module – that is an additional cost if you do not already own it.

Let us know exactly what you track and we may be able to recommend more.
