Trusted GPUG’ers,

We just upgraded to GP2018 and are running Key2Act (WennSoft) Job Cost.  Is there a way to add the Job Cost objects to GP SmartList or must we purchase eOne Solution’s SmartList Builder to do so?

I might recommend a quick email to the Key2Act team and ask if their solution provides SmartList reports or update existing SmartList reports w/ job costing information.  It’s possible that they’re available but just not setup in your environment.

If they do not… You can link the Job Costing tables using SmartList Designer which is available to all GP2018 customers out of the box.  I’m a huge proponent for SmartList Builder but if you’re not eager to throw in an add-on just yet, you might give it a shot with what’s already there.

Just my 2 cents.  Someone else w/ Key2Act may be able to provide specifics or best-practices for getting your SmartLists updated.

I had talked to Key2Act and they advised that SmartList Builder was the solution.  eOne Solutions (owner of SLB) agreed with that also. We purchased it (renewed it actually) for a nominal amount and it was indeed an easy fix.
