      Dear Collaborators,

One of the four speakers we had at our inaugural GPUG Green Bay Chapter meeting was Michael Porreca of Tribridge. His presentation was on Power BI (his two PowerPoint presentations [in PDF form] are on the Green Bay Library page)… a reprise of his popular presentation at GPUG Summit in Tampa.

He also forwarded to me a very interesting infographic produced by ZAP Business Intelligence. The infographic is titled, “Visual Analytics: The Official ZAP Chart Type Cheat Sheet“.

I printed it out on our company plotter so that it’s poster-sized. It lists 13 of the most useful Chart Types in Power BI and where they’re best used. That is, each Chart Type is graded based on 5 information presentation types:

      • Categorical Comparison
      • Values Over Time
      • Correlation
      • Measures Only / KPI
      • Geographical

I’ve attached (see below) a screen shot of the first two rows out of 13. Here’s where to find the whole thing. It will help you make better presentations.
