2021 Budget

I am adding budget numbers for the first time.  It appears that the fiscal calendar needs to be set-up for the year 2021.
Is there anything else that needs to be completed in order to add the budget information?
The budget information can be added manually or from an Excel import, is that correct?

You are right on all counts and you should have nothing else to do.

I would suggest that if you are going to use the Excel import you use the wizard to ‘create’ a budget, then download it so that you have the correct format. 

Be advised that it will NOT allow you to import the budget back if any of the columns are changed, so you can’t add any columns nor remove any columns and the column headers have to be identical to the downloaded version.  The total column and row also has to exist.  This is really the only ‘picky’ thing about it.?

I’ve imported them using an Excel template, but I just recently added our FY21 budgets using a Dynamics macro and Replicator from @John Arnold.  ?http://rnoldz.com/replicator/  It was a lot less prep work, and not as touchy as the excel import method.  Let me know if you’re interested in hearing more.
