      Hello
      We just upgraded to GP2018.Ā  We have encountered an issue regarding POs’ that were created on GP2016 with a pre payment.
      We are Ā  unable to process a computer check to pay these pre payments.Ā  The process works fine with POs’ created in GP2018.
      Our VAR wants to charge us to investigate why this an issue.Ā  wondering if anyone else has encountered this.

      I don’t see anything in the “known issues” page about this one:

      have you heard of anything around PO prepayments by chance in GP 2018 upgrades?

      Mary: if Terry hasn’t heard of anything around this, my thoughts would be (depending if you have an upgrade test environment still available) test this in whatever you test upgrade environment was (if not the same as the current live environment). That would confirm if you have the same issue in 2 environments. Or if that isn’t possible, in a test company try to remove the prepayment from the PO and add it back maybe, if you can work around it.

      Depending on how many prepayment issues you have (a few or a lot), it might not be worth spending a lot of time on “why” this happened but on how to work around it since it’s a one-time issue that won’t be repeated now that you’ve upgraded and all the affected POs have been fixed.

      Hi Mary and Jen,Ā 

      Nothing is standing out as an issue that I know of. We would probably need to look at the customers records/ data and see what may be the issue if it is specific to their business process/ information.
      Mary, you as a customer can create a case direct with Microsoft if you want to work through the issue, just a thought/option to you.

      It actually effects @ 50 PO’s.Ā  So the purchasing manager is not too happy having to recreate those PO’s.
      How do I create ticket directly wit Microsoft?
