Warehouse Vendors – Link or Not to Link?

  We have several warehouses in our system. Some are Vendors and some are not. Existingly we have none linked to the Vendors, but wanted to get feedback as to what the benifits vs downfalls would be of having the warehouses linked to the vendors when applicable.
  
  Should I have the warehouses linked to a vendor when I can?
  
  If so, should I go back and adjust the existing warehouses that are also listed as vendors to link them?
  What will this bring to the table?
  
  How will this effect the BOMs and GL?
  
  All feedback is welcome!
