Warehouse Acronyms, Part 1

  • Warehouse Acronyms, Part 1

Acronyms are an area I struggle with constantly, and the world of Dynamics 365 is just crawling with them. So, I have been compiling a glossary of acronyms that is currently over 150 (🤯) lines long!

Today, I am going to post a few of the warehouse related acronyms I’ve compiled. Let’s see how many of you smarties out there can guess (no Googling, Bing-ing, or whichever search engine you use!), or just know, what these acronyms mean. Here goes:

    • 3PL
    • CW
    • DOM
    • EAN
    • FIFO
    • FEFO
    • FOB
    • GTIN
    • FTL
    • LTL

Post your answers below in the thread as a reply. Let’s have some fun!

Without Google, here are my answers.
3PL is 3rd party shipping. not sure what the L is
FIFO is First in First Out
FEFO is Frist Expired First Out
FOB is the shipping terms where at what point who owns the risk, but no idea what FOB actually stands for.

FTL – Full Truck and LTL – not a full truck
