Upgrading to 10.0.9 and ‘defaults’ for forms have not carried over

We are currently working on upgrading our D365 environments to version 10.0.9, and are running into an issue where users ‘defaults’ for certain forms are being reset to that of a factory new. All personalizations for users are still in the upgraded environment, but no ‘defaults’ for certain views have saved.
Ā
Ex. : I have to turn on the “inventory dimensions” toggle in every window I would normally have turned on or saved; all my printing defaults or selection defaults for printing have been reset.
Ā
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue when upgrading an environment?

Eric,
In a TEST environment that has 10.0.9, have you confirmed this is still the case after clearing all usage data and deleting all personalizations?
I did notice with Docentric that after the recent updates, the form cache was no longer saving. We had to obtain a new class from them to step around the issue.

Hi Ian,ĀWould we need to clear all usage data and personalizations in other environments when deploying? We usually are able to keep all of these with upgrades.
Who provided you with the new runnable class for this?
Thanks for the help!

Eric,
No, we really should not have to do this at all.
The last time we had to wipe personalizations and usage data as a requirement was for customers who experienced issues with their SOs after updating to 8.0 (KB 4469885 ended up fixing it after it was reported to MSFT). There was an issue where the fields on a SO in the GUI did not map properly to the fields in the AOT tables.
The thought here is that if this fixes your issue in a lower environment, then we can either mark the issue as resolved and do this in PROD, or drill deeper into it with a developer to determine the root cause.
The runnable class I received specifically for the Docentric ISV came from support@docentric.com. Let them know you are having caching issues with Docentric forms, if you use this ISV, and that you believe you need an updated class from them. The specific one I received back was for a CustVendOutPaym extension.

Thanks for this Ian! We are going to try to work this approach with the users tomorrow morning. Our ISV is also going to look into if they can provide us with a runnable class. I will update further once we have done these steps.——————————
