      Hello Community,

      AX 2012 RTM CU6

      Issue:
Part was received with tracking dimension of Batch, after which the part was incorrectly updated with Serial through a third party solution, before invoicing.Ā  When Accounting tried to post the invoice, they received the below error:

The PIM team updated the part back to Batch but error still exists.

We moved the issue to a DEV environment, canceled the receipt (in a different Fiscal Year, FY), and received this message: “The packing slip correction cannot be posted to the original accounting date when the inventory period is closed.Ā  The accounting date has been moved to the first day in the next inventory period”

      1. Has anyone dealt with such an issue? If yes, how did you resolve it?Ā
      2. Are we going in the correct direction to resolve the issue?
      3. If we open the old fiscal period, what issues would we deal with downstream?
      4. Is it easier to just process in a new year?Ā  What are the next steps?
      5. Anything else we can try?

Any input would be extremely appreciated.
      Thanks,

      Todd
