We are getting the error message “The 1099 federal or state amount cannot exceed the Total amount”  when attempting to confirm a purchase order for certain vendors.  This just started happening so I am not sure what has changed in the system that is causing this.  Has anyone had any experience with this before?

Please check on the 1099 fields for the PO lines. It is under the “Setup” tab from the “Line details” fast tab of a PO line. It sounds like 1099 amount on the PO line is greater than the PO line amount. You should be able to manually adjust the amount on the 1099 amount field.

Thanks for the reply.  I understand what you are saying, but do you know where it pulls in the value from intially?  How would it get greater than the line amount?

Please see the attachment. AX is designed to setup tax 1099 amount from PO line amount. When a qty is updated on the grid, AX triggers modified method in order to populate tax 1099 amount on the PO line. You need to involve a developer for this task. You can place a break point on this method to investigate your issue in detail. I wasn’t able to replicate it on my end. Good luck.
