I currently have task recording that were created in a cloud environment but we are transitioning to an on prem environment. Does anyone know how I can keep them as I was told they are not supported in an on-prem environment?

I do not know of any limitation for task recordings regarding on premise installations.

What actions with task recordings were you told were not supported with on premise D365FO?

Alex,

Thank you for responding. The current consultants assisting our implementations advise us to do the task recording being created in the cloud we could no longer utilize them when they migrate us to on-prem. This is related to LCS and limitations to on-prem.

You might not be able to save the task recordings in the BPM (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/lifecycle-services/bpm-overview) but you should still be able to utilize task recordings for creating user guides/documentation (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/user-interface/task-recorder-training-docs) or for testing purposes for things like RSAT (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/perf-test/rsat/rsat-overview).
