      Hello all,

We are using AX2012 R2 CU6 and are using product dimensions.  We note that we are able to define item coverage settings by variant.  Is there any way to use Default Order Settings or Site Specific Order Settings by variant (i.e. minimum order quantity)

      Hi Mike,
To best of my knowledge Order Settings by Variant wasn’t possible in AX2012 without customization. However, that changed in D365 for Operations. Check out this link and the accompanying video for a discussion of how this has been addressed in D365FO: https://organicax.com/2016/11/03/default-order-settings-in-d365fo/.

That functionality was added in R3, so unless you upgrade you’re limited to just item coverage by dimension, and/or site specific order settings, not by dimension.
