Reports look different depending on server

Hello AXperts!
We are on AX 2012 RTM.Ā The issue I need help with is when viewing a report (ex: invoice, packing slip) the report displays differently depending on where I run the report from.
I am viewing invoices from Accounts ReceivableInquiriesJournalsInvoice JournalPrint PreviewOriginal Preview.Ā When the invoice displays on the screen the invoice displays with missing fields and missing data, almost as if it is displaying the wrong form.Ā However, when the invoice is saved as PDF or printed to printer, it displays as expected.Ā It is only when viewing from AX that the form is incorrect.
The situation does not present itself for all users and not on each terminal server.Ā Example:
Using my AX account ‘Lori Holmes’ when viewed from:
Terminal Server 1:Ā Display is incorrect
Terminal Server 2:Ā Display is incorrect
Terminal Server 3:Ā Display is correctUsing a different AX account when viewed from:
Terminal Server 1:Ā Display is incorrect
Terminal Server 2:Ā Display is correct
Terminal Server 3:Ā Display is correctBased on the results I know there is not a permissions issue, but an issue per user profile per terminal server.Ā The results are the same if I attempt to view a packing slip or other report.
Wondering if anyone has seen this before.
Thank you in advance.

How many AOS servers do you have ? Did you check if this is happening to users who are connected to same AOS server ?

Lori,That sounds like a print driver problem. We have experienced the same thing, although we run Ax 2009. We run on remote desktop and have 3 RDP servers in the farm. We use a combination of redirected printers and Thin Print. In all cases where one user could print an invoice correctly and another could not, it turned out to be their default printer and/or print driver. How is printing managed on your terminal servers? Do you have roaming profiles or does each user have a profile on each terminal server? It can get very convoluted depending on your user and printer setup on the terminal servers.

Lori, try redeploying the reports.Ā Deleting the user’s Class usage data, and deleting the AUC files on user’s PCs (inĀ C:Users<userId>AppDataLocal) then having them close/reopen AXĀ has helped us resolve some strange report issues in the past too.——————————

HelloĀ Sukrut and Randy.Ā We have three AOS servers and three RDP servers.Ā We do not use roaming profiles, each user has a profile on each terminal server.Ā After speaking to my IT colleagues, we feel you may have led us in a good direction regarding print drivers.Ā We will explore this and respond with our results.
Thank you so much!!!
