Question on Inter Company Master Planning
I have questions on intercompany master planning.
Use case definition:
– We have 3 companies in our environment. US03, US02, and US01
– US03 sells to the end customers
– US03 and US02 have an intercompany buy sell relationship. US03 is an intercompany customer for US02 and US02 is an intercompany vendor for US03.
– US02 and US01 have an intercompany buy sell relationship. US02 is an intercompany customer for US01 and US01 is an intercompany vendor for US02.
– US01 is the manufacturing company and produces all the products
– Supply chain relationship is depicted diagrammatically below
End Customer SO, IC-PO IC-SO / IC-PO IC-SO
LE: US-02 LE-US02 LE: US-01
<—– <—– <—– Product Flow
– Master planning output of US03 serves as the input for Master planning in US02
– Master planning output of US02 serves as the input for Master planning in US01
– We have a forecast in US03.
– We run master planning in US03, US02, and US01. This generates the following planned orders in the 3 companies:
o Planned purchase orders on IC vendor US02 in US03
o Planned purchase order on IC vendor US01 in US02
o Planned Production Orders in US01
– When we firm the Planned purchase order in US03. The system automatically generates IC purchase orders in US03 and IC sales order US02. In addition to this, system also generates IC purchase order in US02 and IC Sales Order in US01. See the diagram above for additional information.
– So, once the planned purchase order in US03 is firmed, the requirement is fulfilled using all the IC POās and IC SOās mentioned above. But we still have the Planned order sitting in US02 and if we firm this Planned Order then supply will get duplicated because there is already a IC PO in US 02 on vendor US01. I would think that the Planned Order should get deleted automatically only the Planned Order in US 03 is firmed that triggers the creation of IC POās and IC SOās but that doesnāt happen.
This is the essential problem statement and how do I solve it. Please help.
Thanks
