?Is there an easy way to change in the default length of a purchase order?  If this change is made, how will it impact existing PO’s?

Hi,
What do you mean exactly by changing the length?
Changing the format that you used before, for example 12345678
or
extending the system defined length of the purchase order number to let’s say 40 digits?
A simple format change can easily be realized by changing/modifiying the number sequence.
The disadvantage is that your purchase orders might be out of sequence in the PO form and that you might have to use filters to quickly identify the right one.
Extending the system defined length on the other hand requires some development.

?We would like to change the system defined length.  As I thought, it would take more work then I want at this time.  This only impacts a small number of PO’s so we are probably just going to leave it as is.  Thanks for the info.
