We are currently experiencing an odd issue.Ā  3 of our users who work with Purchase Orders seem to have some of the values disappear while entering PO’s.Ā  Typically it’s the Unit of Measure, and sometimes the unit cost.Ā  We’ve also seen where the extended amount won’t calculate after entering quantity and unit cost.Ā  e.g., they enter the U/M and tab to the next field, then the U/M disappears.Ā  Or after entering values on one line, as they enter the next line, some of the values in the preceding line vanish.

I can come behind them and enter the values without issue.Ā  Thinking it was account related, I reset usage data for one of the users.Ā  This seemed to resolve it for a full day, but the issue came back.

Has anyone else experienced this?Ā  How did you resolve it?Ā  I’ve set one of the users as a System Admin to see if it is related to permissions, but they still experience the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.Ā  We are on D365 F&O version 7.3 PU 23.

      Thanks.

      Patrick

      Patrick,

Have you tried clearing their personalizations after clearing their usage data? Did this start happening after an update? Take a look at KB 4498942 on LCS. A handful of our clients had this issue after an upgrade on F&O.

      Thanks for your reply Ian.Ā

Clearing usage data used to clear personalizations, at least I think it did in AX2009 and AX2012.Ā  Would you advise clearing all personalizations, of just the ones related to the specific form we have issues with?

Also, do you have a link to the KB you referenced (KB 4498942)?Ā  I can’t seem to find it.

      Thanks for your help.

      Hey Patrick,

I’ve only ever approached this by clearing all personalizations, but you can try with just the form.Ā

      Here’s the URL:Ā https://fix.lcs.dynamics.com/Issue/Details/1300147?kb=4498942&bugId=287748&dbType=3&qc=e9e4f64fa2b4f1c7e04ff0e861cf3c390e4a2818ebe5cbc82371d4b5616a35a3

KB 4498942 Form personalizations are not retained after refreshing the page
      ?
Product and version: Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations

      Release: Platform update 25

      PROBLEM

We personalized standard forms (like All production orders and All customers/vendors) by moving 2 columns in the grid to be ahead of another field. After refreshing the page or closing the tab page and opening a new tab to view the form, we notice the personalization is gone. The only workaround we’ve found so far is to restart the AOS to get all expected personalization back.Ā

      DESCRIPTION OF CHANGE

This fix is available starting in Platform update 25. When personalizations were applied using the personalization cache, they were being applied alphabetically, instead of in the order they were applied. This resulted in some personalizations appearing to not stick.Ā  When the cache was reset (via the AOS restart), the personalizations were applied directly from the database which did not have the same issue. The fix is to apply the personalizations in the order they were applied regardless of whether they are coming from the database or the cache.
