      Has anyone had problems with reconciling cancelled payments that were initially included as part of a deposit slip?

      I think I have stumbled across this one, it is fixed in one of the cumulative updates, just not sure which one but remember seeing it on a fix list.

      There was a Bad check that were reversed that were on a deposit slip.  When the payment was cancelled, in the bank account the system wiped out the entire deposit, meanwhile in the GL only the check was voided.

      1. Deposit made for 75,803.13 – DES000209

       2. Void of of payment (5,000)
       3. In Bank Reconciliation it appears that the entire deposit has been voided. (75,803.13)
       4. Look at the voucher from the Bank Reconciliation for the deposit reversal transaction, only the $5,000 Bad check was reversed in the GL.

       5. To fix these transactions will require a subledger update of the Difference, which is the amount the deposit actually cleared for (75,803.13-5,000 = 70,803.13).

       

      Here is the entry to correct these entries, which will have a net effect on the Ledger of 0.00, because the offset account is the GL account for the TDBANK bank account.

      HI John,

      This issue is fixed in hotfix KB302798, which is part of CU9. We also ran into this issue and had to get our support partner to build a job that reversed the Deposit transactions properly.
