We have a Fixed Asset business scenario that I am trying to automate.
It’s a situation where there is a damage to an asset (say – some parts break and need replacement) – so we need to “dispose” a portion of the asset (acquisition + accumulated depreciation), and then acquire the amount for what is spent on the repair and parts.
So I need an automated way to not only re-value the asset down, but reduce both acquisition and accumulated depreciation at the same time.
Is there an automation for that?

Zvika,
Have you tested the Split option. Split the asset then dispose of the portion that was damaged.
