I am having issues with a specific form,  Open Purchase Order Lines Form (PurchLineOpenOrder).

As a SysAdmin, I am able to see the form in the Purchase Order Preparation workspace.  However, users who “should” have access to the form are unable to see it.  I ran the Security diagnostics on the form (Options>>Page Options>>Security Diagnostics) and the users in question have one or more of the roles needed to access the form.

Am I missing something?  Has anyone had this issue and if so, how did you resolve it?

Hello Patrick,

In which version are you experiencing this issue? Is it D365FO or AX2012?

Have you double checked if these users have access to the Purchase Order Lines form from the Procurement and sourcing menu? It should be available in

Procurement and sourcing > Purchase orders > Purchase order follow-up > Open purchase order lines

My apologies, I should have mentioned the version.

We are on D365 F&O, ver 7.3, PU23

In AX2012, I created a form that exposed certain fields of the PurchLines table and users wanted the same visibility in D365 and this form seemed appropriate.

I just tried accessing via the path you gave and was able to adjust the filters, export to a custom workspace and it seems to be working for my test user.  I think this will work.

Odd that the form is available to the users this way, but not in the original workspace.

   What version of AX are you using as you do not mention it. We’re on 2012 R3. If 2012 can you confirm that you are referring to MenuItemName –  PurchLineOpenOrder?
These should be the standard roles and access level. If they fall into one of these roles then they should have access to the table.

Role name – Entry point access
Accountant – View
Project manager – View
Buying agent – View
Purchasing manager – View
Accounts payable clerk -View
Accounts payable manager -View

Have you tried with other users in your company that may fall into one of these roles to confirm they also are having issues?

Hi Patrick, are the users set up as contacts?  If the employee name recid in the HR module is linked to an organization in your AX environment the system treats them as a vendor rather than an employee and they will not be able to see the form.  You can check this easily in the global address book by searching the employee name and seeing if they are attached to an organization.
