Management Reporter will not launch
Posted by Jennifer Erhard on August 19, 2019 at 1:23 pm-
D365 – I have tried to edit and create a new report both in Internet Explorer and in Chrome and Management ReportDesigner.Application never opens.Ā I have tried the clickonce in chrome.Ā All I get is nothing.Ā It will ask if I want to open ReportDesigner.ApplicaitonĀ I click yes.Ā It says it connecting but nothing ever opens.
I can loggon to my Manager’s computer and it opens just fine.Ā I can login at someone else’s computer that has security access and it does nothing as well.
I have verified I am running the .Net frame work that is correct.Ā We are up to date with software updates.Ā I have to be missing something but have tried everything that I could find on the web.Ā Anyone have any idea what I don’t have setup correctly on my computer.

Hi Jennifer.
Maybe a pop-up blocker on your machine is stopping the window from opening. You might also have to add an exception for the 365 extension that is being blocked. I saw this article on LinkedIn.

And if using Internet Explorer, this has worked for me and clients also:
- Add the AX7/D365 site to Trusted Sites in IE (Internet Options | Security tab | Trusted sites)
- Set the Security to Medium-Low (Internet Options | Security tab | Trusted sites | Security level for this zone = Medium-low); Some time when MR OneClick app does not open we need to clean the cache by running:Ā rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache?

Hi Jennifer,I have experienced this many times when running MR or opening workflow configurations in different D365 environments.Ā Derek’s suggestion to clean the cache is the one that I have used for at least a couple years and it seems to work without fail.

I had this occurring and in investigating, found it was throwing errors locally about required components missing.Ā You do mention ClickOnce, which I presume you’re referring to theĀ Meta4 ClickOnce Chrome extension?——————————

Thank you all for the suggestions.Ā I still haven’t had any success.Ā We have tried the statement to clear the cache.Ā I have also added the trusted sites and the other suggestions.Ā Anything else anyone has tried?
