Running AX 2012 R3 and Mgmt Reporter. 2012,, one of or users has received a new machine and now is unable to get report to publish out of Mgmt Reporter. Would appear to be something local on the new machine , maybe browser related, but have not found anything yet, just curious if anyone might have seen something like this before or any recommended leads.. Thanks, Bill

Hi Bill,
Check the below two points and ensure that report permissions are configured properly.
1.Check the Report Library permission for that user. 2. Also ensure that, user have assigned with proper security permission(Designer/Viewer).

Is there an error message? If so, what is the error and when does it occur?
Can that user log into MR Report Designer at all?

Hi
There is one thing you can do. I expect that the user try to open MR from a browser. In this process the system uses IE Temp, if the user is not correctly configured on the machine with the profile. Read: have access to create IE temp that could be a problem
Please let the user try to open the report through the Classic MR viewer, this will give you an indication if the problem is related to security in MR or a technical on the machine as the viewer is a 32 bit application.
Be aware that the users identity has been replicated from AX into the MR database, so if the user has gained another userid, or been moved around in active directory, you could have a issues related to that
I have seen issues where user data was not in proper sync between the AX DB and MR DB So you can try to verify the useracoount, doman and the SID in the MR Userdatabase just to be sure that this is what you expect for this user
Also make sure that the user profile has the correct Security Role that gives access to MR, please refer to the MR installation guide on what groups he need. And remember that in MR CU 9 or 10 i believe they changes the way security is added, so if you have just upgraded that could be an iissue
