      Hi Guys,

      Ā

Can I please confirm if there is a way to restrict creator of the journals from approving or posting their own entries.

      Ā

We are flexible in using either approval via User Group or using Approval Workflows.

      Ā

In both cases we are having an approval group which has a number of employees.

      Ā

The issue we are then encountering this that, if X is a member of the approval group then they are able to approve their own journal entries and post them.

      Ā

Hence I am trying to figure out a way to restrict the journal creator from either approving or posting their own entries.

      Ā

      Ā

      Regards

      Sharneel,

Consider using a workflow for this rather than just user group approval and check this parameter to ensure it is off:

Disallow approval by submitter is active under System administration>Setup>Workflow>WorkflowParameters

      Awesome, thank you Ian.

It works as intended by us.

      Cheers
