      Hello,

At times when I review the item coverage, the time fence, negative, and positive days, multiples, and/or MOQs have been adjusted to something that doesn’t make sense based on our coverage groups or known item setups. I am not sure if anyone can discuss without a live example. But I wanted to know if anyone else has had similar issues or if this sounds mostly like people changing things by mistake.

      Look forward to a reply.

      Best Regards,
      Seth

      Hi Seth –

It sounds like people are changing Item Coverage values (or a customization is at work).

One avenue you could use is the Dynamics AX database logging functionality to gather more information on what may be happening (Alerts might work too).

A word of caution on Database Logging (and Alerts). Think twice (even 3x) before logging a table/field that sees a lot of updates or inserts such as ReqPO, ReqTrans, etc. (a couple of data sources in the MRP Planned Order form) because such logging will impact MRP run times and disk space. Also, never forget you have logging turned on and make a point to turn it off (or review use) at a future date.

      Thanks…..Dave

Example of AX Database Logging on Negative Days update. Negative Days increased to 15 days.
