We need to be able to do a item count using the Product Category as a selection criteria (Inventory & warehouse mgt>Journals>Item counting>Counting).
Is this possible? I tried to bring in product category on the query be it didn’t give me the product category assigned to the item.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Sam,
You can achieve this by creating counting groups based on category of the products. Inventory Management>Setup>Inventory>counting Group Once you have setup counting groups based on category, you need to ensure that each product is configured to the correct corresponding counting group. Once accomplished you can create counting journal by counting goups –
I hope this helps. We are doing PPI count using counting groups based on categories.
