Hi Folks,

I am facing an issue with financial dimension validation in AX 2012 R3. I am actually trying to post a PO and getting the below mentioned error

“You must select a value in the cost center field in combination with the following dimension values that are valid
Main Account xxxxxxx
The combination was not validated beyond the CostCenter financial dimension.
Dimension values were validated with this account structure xxxx profit & loss
Posting has been cancelled
An error occurred during update”?

I have done the following validations from my end
1) Validated GL accounting structure. There is appropriate mapping for main account and the cost center. The condition is that CostCenter should start with F (i.e. F*)
2) Validated the Purch order and purch line and see the financial dimensions are properly pointing to a cost center starting with “F”

I am not sure if there is any other configuration that I missed out. Will be waiting for your suggestions.

Hi,
In the PO invoice form you have a financials register where you can find a subledger journal button.
Can you open that one to get a preview of the subledger voucher that allows you checking whether a financial dimension is missing.

I have the same issue, there is a dimesion missing, how can fix it? ort add the missing dimension? I’m trying either to cancel the receipt or invoice it.

looks like that in your case the PO was received and later on the account structures were modified to make a dimension mandatory.
To allow you to reverse, you will need to remove the restriction on the account structure.

?Also, if you add freight or misc expenses on a po invoice you have to make sure that account is not required to have a dimension or set up the dimension within the misc expenses on the po.
