For those that use saved journal templates in AP invoice journals in AX 2012 R2, I’ve saved a template but I can only use it once.  It then does not appear when I go into the lines of invoice journal and attempt to select it.  It does show up listed now in the periodic journal in the General Ledger module.  Has anyone else had this problem and know how to resolve it?  Thanks!

Hi Brad,

When you are saving your template are you doing this from the journal (Function> Save template)?  If so this template should be available when you use the Function dropdown to select a template.

Yes. I did us the save template link. I then used select saved the template and it retrieved it once. The next time I went to retrieve it was not there.

Brad,

I cannot duplicate this issue in my VM but since the journals are now appearing in the Periodic journals that this is what was created not necessarily the AP templates. 

If you open up the AP invoice journals and select the posted journal with the voucher you wish to save as a template.  Then open the journal select the voucher and save it using the Function> Save template.  There is no option on this form to delete the voucher.  The key is the voucher you want to set up needs to be posted before you can use it as a template.
