Question for anyone that has an inventory “roll-forward” report – did you create a custom Power BI report, find it in base Dynamics, use the native Financial Reporting functions,Ā  use some form of specified trial balance report, orĀ  whatever else to generate this subledger data ?Ā  #BI and Reporting?

      Dan,

If you’re looking for an inventory valuation comparison between active costs and pending rolled costs, then yes, there’s a native report for that in AX and in D365 – The screenshots below are from 2012, but the two are so much the same that the screenshots below work for either.

      In AX Go to:
Inventory management > Setup > Costing > Costing versions

      In D365 go to:
Cost management > Inventory accounting > Costing versions

Select the costing version that holds the pending costs.Ā  Select Print, and then Compare item prices

Once the form is open, make sure to tick the Print inventory value net change check box.Ā  Set any other parameters you want and click okay.
