      Hi Group!

My company will be implementing AX 2012, on premises in Summer of this year. While we have started creating training material using task recorder with modifications, we need some sort of overview / intro material to familiarize end users with the product before we show the mechanical steps to complete tasks.

I’ve seen a few youtube intro videos but I’m not satisfied with any of them. Has anyone here created or found a valuable video or presentation that serves as a good intro to the functionality, benefits and navigation in AX 2012?

      Thanks for your help,

      Hi Carl,

Have you looked into the videos available on CustomerSource?  Once you log in click the Readiness & Training and look for eLearning.  Make sure you filter for AX 2012 to avoid looking through all of the new Dynamics 365 for Operations training videos.

Check out the recorded webinars on AXUG for AX for Dummies – it’s a webinar series for Beginners in AX!

      Sales Orders

      Purchase orders

      Trade Agreements

      Item Creation Part 1

      Item Creation Part 2

There are more scheduled for this year. Sarah Strate will be presenting one on January 17th on Basic Navigation. Check it out! Your membership in AXUG gets you access to all the webinars you want and it’s for everyone in your company. Can’t beat that!

Also, (shameless plug) I write a blog for AX Beginners called AX Soup. I use an AX 2012 R3 demo environment, so you may find some benefit there as well. It’s at http://www.axsoup.com.

Kelly makes a wonderful suggestion, there are all kinds of webinars and educational opportunities available on AXUG. There is also the hands on labs through Customer source. Unlike days gone by, (version 3 and 4) there is now a wealth of information familiarization available to you. But my personal preference is to use AXUG, remember it is a user group led by and totally for the users. Here is where you can get what other users are experiencing. Also to plug  Kelly she has an excellent series on AXUG for AX users.
