We are looking for company that does distribution using AX.Ā  One of our companies does distribution.

This, no doubt, is too large a topic to cover in this discussion format.Ā  If your company is open to a meeting with us, private message me.Ā  Hearing from your success will help us set a path to follow during implementation.Ā  Here is some of what we are looking for:

      • Have some distribution business as part of the business model (lots of transactions – can be spare parts business for example).Ā
      • Lead/prospect becoming a customer who then gets a quote for every day business that is converted into a sales order
      • How doesĀ customer service support it in some way (tracking number, documentation, problem with their order)
      • Be large enough to have 10 or more customer service people in their team with several outside sales people and a sales manager.Ā
      • Use metrics from the system to evaluate employee performance of everyone in the sales and customer service areas.
      • CSR volume of work and time to solve problem
      • Salesman activities (# leads, % conversion through stages of pipeline and average time in the various stages of the funnel, and Shipments for bonus calculations)
      • Sales manager metrics on growth compared to LY and Budget for individual territories and total

    Hello Mark,

I am aware of a number of companies that would be able to provide you some experiences with the product however can I ask why you are about to start implementing AX2012R3?Ā  This product will be out of support in less than 3 years and would I imagine represents a risk to the business as you are putting in basically a burning platform.

I can imagine if you have purchased licenses already or you have had a go at this program before it may be tempting however unless there is a very strong business case or need i would suggest you investigate Dynamics 365 for Supply Chain which is the latest version of the product.Ā  While AX2012 has been used successfully by mainly businesses some of the reporting you are talking about will be more effort to achieve in this product.Ā  Another consideration is the upgrade process where in my experience with correct testing and change management can take 6 months at least.

If you would like to talk more i am happy to connect you with a colleague in the US
