Has anyone figured out a way to suppress the journal used for intercompany postings from the list of available journals a user will see?
If you set the interco journal to be private for user group – unless the user is a member of that group – they will receive an error on posting any interco entries.
Second, if I have workflow requirements that all user-created journal entries go through workflow, I can circumvent the requirement but just selecting this journal and posting a journal entry.
Seems to be a gap in process, security and SOX compliance.

I believe you can put workflow on it and it will circumvent the workflow when posting via intercompany processing – be sure to test as this is a test of my memory :).Ā This prevents users from skipping the workflow altogether – you could even auto-reject in the workflow if they use it.

This is really a ridiculous flaw in the core accounting features of what has a pretense to be an enterprise level accounting solution.
Pretty much every time I introduce Dynamics F&O to an accounting team of a large organization – the kind that cares about this sort of things, this issue comes up and I am always embarrassed on behalf of Microsoft
