      Hi all

I am working on implementing the use of firming and freeze time fences in my coverage groups.Ā
It was looking good until i started using them both together. I wanted to have a frozen time fence of 7 days, and an auto firm time fence of 2 days. So my planned orders within that 7 days would generate a planned order to the end of that period, my planner could go in and either reschedule the planned order, firm it, or leave it at the end of the period. Then, when within 2 days, it would auto firm for them. The problem is, whenever a planned order is within the auto firm fence, i just get the “The planned production order must be scheduled before it can be firmed.” error. If i experiment, and remove my freeze time fence, re-run mrp, it firms up no problem. Is there something i am missing between the firm and freeze fences that do not work together?

      Any advice is welcome.

      Thanks
      Matthew Field

      Hey Matt,
Your setup is definitely contradictory. The firming time fence wants to auto firm it if the requirements falls within 2 days but you’re postponing the order with the 7 day freeze so the auto-firm cannot happen. Auto-firm happens immediately as the planned order is generated if the requirement date falls within the firm time fence
