AX users – Has anyone developed a robust set of ERDs (entity relationship diagrams) for the AX 2012 R3 database? The ERDs Microsoft has directed us to on the internet are not complete. We feel this would be valuable as we start with reports development and eventual support of the application by our IT team. I am not a technical individual so if there are followup questions of a technical nature then I will have to relay them to the right folks.
Thanks for your support!

Hello Carl You can always generate physical ERDs of whatever set of tables you want using reverse engineering tool in AX dev workspace. Later, these ERDs can easily be simplified and modified to address your needs using Visio or any erx supported modeling software. I recommend to create ERX ER data model and then import it into visio. The tool can be accessed at Tools -> Reverse engineer.

Hi Carl
I was aware of generating ERD diagrams but it was failing due to missing Visio DLLs. I have tried using Visio 2016 Pro but that did not help. We need Visio 2010 Pro and that is one the compatible version with AX 2012 R3. We need any version lower than 2013.
