Hi All,

Can anyone guide us on the best way to open a web store in AX 2012 R3 and use Magento as website.
A detailed architecture of how the AX is to be configured for the store will be more helpful.
We plan to use click and collect from the stores and use warehouse to deliver the items for delivery to the addresses specified on order.
How does the inventory transactions take place for the click and collect and delivery from the warehouse stocks.
The sales has to be registered under web store.
Do we need to create each customer being registered in web in AX also or can we consolidate one sales order just like we do for the retail stores?
Appreciate help from anyone.

Hi Bharat, 

Pls find below my high level approach, may be useful to you.. Pls add your thoughts to it

1. Web platform sales should be treated as the on line store(Separate channel) in the AX HQ
2. For every new customer in Web should be treated as the unique customer in AX
3. Every sales in web store will be part of on the online store channel, revenue will be posted against this store and Delivery can happen from the Pick and Ship warehouse(Inventory)
4. In the channel database, AX POS RetailTransactionTable and related tables to be populated and standard P job can be used to pull the data and try leverage the standard process..
5. Would suggest to use/extend Real time service,Retail CDX with third party system to create the sales order in the AX HQ from Web, based on the store locator group stores will be available for selection
6. Suggest re-use as much standard channel database views and stored procedures..
7. Instead of consolidation of web orders into single sales order, would prefer Customer order model to be used as in the standard AX online store front..
