::Hi @morgan-mainjasperengines-com
We’ve worked with both across multiple F&O implementations. Here’s what we’ve seen:
Lasernet: Performs very well for high-volume batch runs. Designed specifically for this use case. Fast, reliable, and handles thousands of invoices without hiccups. Configuration is straightforward for standard invoice flows.
Docentric: More flexible on template design and customization. Also handles high volume well, but requires more fine-tuning if you have complex invoice requirements (project invoices with variable layouts, multi-language, etc.).
Key challenges we’ve encountered with both:
– Batch job timing – you’ll want to schedule runs during off-peak hours to avoid performance impacts
– Distribution logic – emailing thousands of invoices needs proper queuing or you’ll hit throttling
– Archive storage – high-volume runs generate large PDF archives; plan for storage scaling
Our recommendation: If your invoices are mostly standard layouts, Lasernet is your faster path. If you need flexibility on design, Docentric gives you more control.
Happy to chat more if you want specific configuration insights.
