We have a dimension set for VAT (sales tax) when we post an invoice journal. For some reason, it doesn’t work when we post the journal, but does appear when we subsequently set the transaction as approved for payment.

Worked fine on both our test system until we refreshed the instance, then the bug appeared. Still works on our SI’s test system.

Any ideas what could be causing this? We’re running D365 for Finance & Operations, Enterprise Edition, v7.3 and updated to PU12.

Our SI managed to fix it by reconfiguring some of our CoA setup – so think it was unique to the way they set us up. All resolved now. If anyone does want more details, am sure I can get it when they are next in the office.
