We use the allocation journals to post a number of transactions to multiple companies at once.Ā  I’ve tried adding a description but i keep getting the error message below.Ā  When we process an allocation request, we have an option to select a reason code.Ā  I’ve tried selecting one and not selecting one.Ā  And both give me the same error.Ā  The reason we want to add a description is that when we process the allocation request, the description field is blank.Ā  It would be much easier to identify each of the allocation entries since we multiple entries now.Ā  Where can we change/add a reason code?Ā  Thanks

      Hello,
The reason code can be entered directly in the allocation process form:

In addition, we have the default description functionality

Processing such an allocation results in the following outcome where No 1 comes from the reason code specified and No 2 from the default description

The error message that you have seems strange because you can flip the reason code and default description before the journal is posted. There should not error message pop up.

Are you running on an older AX2012 version?
If this is the case then please have a look at LCS to ensure that the error shown is not related to a bug.
If you cannot find anything on LCS, I would suggest that you get a developer involved who can help you debugging this issue.

      Best regards,

      Ludwig
