Hello everyone. Ā We are running AX 2012 RTM. Ā

We use live data in our test environments – we refresh this data from production to test environments as necessary. Ā

For those who do the same, do you have a method to scrub data of confidential information? Ā Often our users request sys admin access to test environments and we are looking for ways to avoid confidential information from being available.

      Thanks for your thoughts…

      Lori,
The Test Data Transfer Tool (available through the LCS tools download section) will allow you to selectively copy information, so you could exclude the table(s) with the sensitive information. If it is just specific fields, then having a SQL script that you run afterwards that just sets the field to blank or 0’s has worked really well for me in the past. This works really well if you already have scripts to update the GUID or clean out server sessions, etc.
