I’m having issues with LP number sequence. Out of nowhere, the LPs now have three zeroes like this 000LP######### and I don’t understand why. My number sequence only includes a constant and alphanumeric. Should I just remake the number sequence or will a reset fix this?

      Hi Brendan,

Did you find out what makes the number sequence have the prefix 000 on the license plate?

      Thanks,
      Bart

      Hi,

Just seen this thread, and something springs to mind that it has to do with SSCC (?), if I recall correctly.

      Best regards,

I believe it is using the GS1 company prefix from the warehouse management parameters and the license plate packing type from the unit sequence group to come up with the “000”.Ā  The fact that you’re getting “000” means that neither value has been populated.Ā  I’m more curious that you’re saying it has not happened before.Ā  My experience is that it is hard-coded into the license plate ID derivation, so I do not understand how you could have been avoiding getting that prefix.

      Brendan –
We are seeing the same issue as well on the LP ‘000’ prefix numbering sequence. We tried Kevin’s suggestion below by setting the ‘GS1’ company prefix from blank (which we assume is NULL) to ‘9’ as well as replacing unit sequence group on the LP packing type form ‘0’ to ‘9’ thinking this would replace the ‘000’ prefix with ’99’. However, it just simply addedĀ  the ’99’ to the existing ‘000’ prefix. We would like to just simply remove the ‘000’ prefix as well.

      Hi everyone,

The system generated license plate will automatically include “000” as a prefix.Ā  In order to remove this, there is a “Number sequence extension” feature that can be enabled for Warehouse management.Ā  Once this is enabled, you will notice a new column for number sequence extension in the number sequence screen from Warehouse management parameters.Ā  This new sequence can be defined more specifically to include components such as the GS1.Ā  By defining a new sequence there, this would remove the “000” prefix in system generated license plates.

Hopefully this helps clear up any questions on this but please let me know if not.Ā  My firm and I have a long history with D365 WMS / TMS and would be happy to assist.
