In AX2012 it was not possible to search for products with specific product attributs in released products list or when creating a new BOM line.
Is there now a way in D365 ?

Or is there also a way in AX2012 i didn´t know…

Yes, I too agree that this has to build in feature, Product attributes display and filter options has to be given in the in different item related Reports and Forms

Recently I have implemented AX 2012R3 for Retail Consumer durable customer, where the user wants to search the On hand inquiry, release products forms with Attributes.

As a workaround we have added the attributes in the different item inquiry forms and the Master planning planned order screens, Inventory ageing reports etc. and also given the filter option for the Product attribute product search in certain inquiries..

Below piece of code worked for us to display the attributes..

EcoResProductAttributeValue     EcoResProductAttributeValue;

       select * from EcoResProductAttributeValue where EcoResProductAttributeValue.Product == 22565423116 && EcoResProductAttributeValue.Attribute == 11290923653;

    return EcoResProductAttributeValue.Value;
