      ?Hello….

We are using D365 but have seen this situation in AX 2012 as well.Ā  From time to time, the Deliver Remainder does not match the qty on Sales Order line (see attached picture).

Does anyone know how or what causes this?Ā  In our case, they should always match.

      Thank you in advance,
      Lori

Hi Lori, late reply here but I have seen this often when someone goes in and edits the Delivery remainder from the Update line option/dropdown. This actually would allow the user to update the open quantity to a different value than the line was for. In addition, there’s two fields when you open the Update Delivery Remainder dialog from that Update line button/dropdown: Sales quantity and Inventory quantity. I have seen cases where the user mistakenly updates just the inventory quantity and messes up the delivery remainder. If you always update the Sales quantity, it should be okay, however, in past versions if user just updated Inventory quantity, it cancelled or amended theĀ  InventTrans but the Sales remainder showed differently and left the line open or in a discrepancy.
