We are new users of AX; we went live at the start of November. We have an issue with credit card payments that has us and our partner stumped.

Every since January, when we attempt to capture payments over $33,000 (successfully authorized), We get the following error: Capture failed: The application has encountered an unknown error(20002). The request for capture does not reach First Data. We can successfully capture the payment on Dynamics Online.

We have only one customer that makes such large payments to us, on an AMEX card; they switched cards during this period and both cards had the same issue. In November and December, we were able to capture these large payments in AX.

I’m interested in any ideas or if anyone has had a similar experience.

      Thank you for your attention,

      Hi,

      Please Check the following Setup

Error code 20002 – The Windows Live ID that you entered is not valid.Ā  Do you want to continue?Ā

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Cause: If encountered in the POS Retail Hardware profile
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Resolution: Just click Yes to continue.Ā  This validation is not correctly performed.Ā  Test transactions to verify.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Side note: Ensure the public keys are properly copied and roles assigned to the system user
      Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Cause: Corrupted hardware profile settings after an upgrade or database restore.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Resolution: Try creating a new AR payment service profile or Retail hardware profile.Ā  If in AX 2012 R2, this includes creating a new System User in Dynamics Online with proper public key and roles assigned.

      Currency not supported by connector(20002)
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Cause: In the Payment services window, the Supported currencies field, you cannot end with a semi-colon.Ā  For example, a value ofĀ CAD; will return the error but CAD by itself will validate.Ā  AX sees the semi-colon and then looks for another currency which is blank and handled by the code as a not supported currency.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Resolution: Remove the semicolon in the Supported currencies field from CAD; to display CAD
