I’ve seen several posts with this error message. However, none seem to be dealing in the product configuration models environment of AX (/Product information management/Common/Product configuration models). Every post seems to have a different fix, so it’s hard to gain any insight when the fixes are so context specific.

Has anyone encountered this error when dealing with product configuration models? Mostly, we see it when we try to run a quote of a configuration model. (/Sales and marketing/Common/Sales quotations/My quotations, ‘configure line’, then attempt to calculate price).

The x in the error message, ‘The value ‘x’ is not found in the map,’ is an attribute of a subcomponent configuration model inside the parent model. Deleting the attribute, or the entire subcomponent, allows us to price the model. This suggests to me its a problem with the configuration model, not the quoting/pricing process.

Does anyone have any advice, or general knowledge of how this error is thrown?
