      Hello everyone…

We are looking to understand straight out-of-the-box tools available in our version of AX to manage cash (2012 RTM).

We expect managing cash should take into consideration incoming A/R, outgoing A/P, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, as well as existing bank accounts.

We see the Cash Inflow vs Cash Outflow and the Expected Cash In the Next ‘X’ Days Chart, but are not convinced the data accurate or how the reports are calculating the results.

Who is using cash management, how are you using it?

      All guidance is appreciated.

      Thank you,

What exactly are the end-to-end business processes that you are trying to automate within the Cash and Bank management module in AX2012?

What data is it that you are not finding accurate, where is this data been generated in AX2012?

What subledger and ledger entries are you’re reconciling in the system?

It will be helpful if you would elaborate on the issue and what exactly you are looking for as set up to run an automated business process in AX2012.

Hello Shilpi, thank you for your response.Ā  We are simply looking to determine what possibilities AX provides and how others are managing cash in AX.

If you are using AX to manage cash, we would be interested to know how.Ā  If a phone call is better, please email me at LHOLMES@hamamatsu.com and I’ll setup some time to chat.

Thank you again and stay well,
      Lori

To the extent one person’s experience is relevant – I have never seen a business using the Cashflow feature in Dynamics (in roughly 20 implementations I was involved with so far) – maybe it indicates the functionality is not great.

In addition, I cannot remember seeing any updates/features added by Microsoft to it, at least in recent year.
